We remember that in 1922, Brigida Garcia, then a fresh graduate of Columbia University Teacher\u2019s College, USA and teaching at Harris, opened the first kindergarten class in the Philippines, making our church, through Harris Memorial College, the pioneer of Kindergarten Education in the Philippines. The Commission on Early Childhood Education and Development (CECED) provides general oversight and direction to the UMC-related preschools. Today, we need to rethink our preschool education ministry in light of the K-12 program of the Department of Education, and CECED will be calling a national consultation on the matter later this year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element
